Big Kenny in Sudan

Bearing Light: A Journey to Sudan chronicles the journey of country music superstar Big Kenny Alphin accompanied by his wife Christiev and a small team of multi-professional individuals to the small village of Akon in Southern Sudan. For Kenny, who "knew he just had to... set foot on that land," the quest was a life-changing experience for each one of them, along with the discovery of a story about these wonderful people who, in the face of atrocities, maintain their dignity and grace. The group's visit was not only an inspiration for Akon residents with words and songs of encouragement, but offered hope through a commitment to help build a school for girls in the village.
